2 Chronicles 15:2
~He went out to meet Asa and said to him, “Listen to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you when are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.~
“He’s right here,” the boy replied, pointing to his heart, “but you can’t see him.”
Even thought God is invisible to our physical eyes, his presence can be recognized in his people. As the prophet told Asa, the Lord lives with those who seek him. His indwelling presence identifies those who belong to him.
Moses couldn’t imagine living without the mark of God’s presence. He told God, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up there from here…What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?” [Exodus 33”15-16].
God sent the Holy Spirit to be a continuing sign of his presence in us [John 14:16]. When we invite the Holy Spirit to live in us, others will see God too—in us!
have you seen God in someone you know? Encourage them by telling them so!
